Person Struck, Killed By Lirr Train Identified As 28-Year-Old New Hyde Park Man

Long Island Rail Road officials have released more information after a person was struck and killed by a train.

A 28-year-old New Hyde Park man was struck and killed on Monday, July 3 around 9:30 a.m. in New Hyde Park, said MTA officials.

The incident, which is under investigation, delayed trains for up to 45 minutes.

He was reportedly on the tracks at the time of impact.

MTA officials said no criminality is suspected.
